CABRERA WON THE 73RD MASTERS

Angel Cabrera, the 1st South American to win Masters

"This moment, and the (US Open) win in Oakmont,
are the greatest moments of my life," Cabrera said.
"It's incredible. I still can't believe it.
"This is a great moment for any golfer,
to win the Masters
I'm so emotional I can barely talk."

Congratulation Cabrera!

A
ngel Cabrera became the first Argentine to win the Masters at Augusta National on Sunday. He adds a green jacket to his 2007 US Open win.

No South American has won the Green Jacket, but Roberto De Vicenzo came closest in 1968 only to submit an incorrect scorecard, giving American Bob Goalby a one-shot victory instead of sending the year's first major to a playoff.

The 73rd Masters was really full of excitement, roars and drama. Though the sensational day had earlier been dominated by Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, the world numbers one and two, the final thrill was the three-way playoff between Campbell, Perry and Cabrera. At the end, the magical day belonged to Cabrera, who at 69 in the world becomes the lowest-rated Masters champion since the world rankings began in 1986.
