SWINE FLU PARTIES

Swine Flu virus

"I have heard of reports
of
people throwing swine flu parties.
"I don't think it is a good idea. I would not want it myself.

"It is quite a mild virus, but people still get ill and there is a risk of mortality,"
said DrJarvis.

Reports have emerged of people intentionally mixing with friends who have flu.

Their reasoning is that it is best to be infected before the winter when the virus could become more deadly.

But public health expert Dr Richard Jarvis said such behaviour could undermine the fight against swine flu.

He also stressed while it was a mild flu, people would still be putting their health and the health of their children at risk.

Michael rose to fame from his childhood with the legendary Jackson 5 to a superstar that earned him the nickname 'King of Pop'. I still vividly remember his song "I'll be there" which was the top of the charts in 1970. I used to sang it every day for sometime. His "ABC" and "I want you Back" songs were also very popular.

While we were in London, Along and Abang Long gave her a surprise. An advanced, simple and yet memorable Birthday Celebration. Since our flight home was on the 21th Jun, they decided to have it on the 20th.

Greeting card given by Izad and Idlan

Our first agenda was a cake cutting during Breakfast. Then came the greeting cards and presents for our beloved grandma, mama and wife.

A card and presents including
perfume set, sterlings and bracelet which Qistyna loves to wear.

What about Birthday Dinner? Along and Abang Long suggested a good, halal chinese restaurant at Norbury. We agreed and we were there 20 minutes later. Wow! 25 dishes were served. We just couldn't believe that we could finish those sumptuous and delicious food. Best ever!

GLOVER CAPTURED 2009 U.S. OPEN

Lucas Glover, the champion of 2009 U.S. Open

“I drove it probably the best
I’ve ever driven it in the first three rounds here,” said Glover.
“Not so much today.
I think nerves had a little effect on my rhythm,
and I didn’t hit very many shots
where I was looking or the shape I was trying to hit them.”

The rain-delayed championship has given me the opportunity to watch it over tv on Monday. I thought I wouldn't be able to experience the heart- throbbing final, since 21th Jun was my journey back to Malaysia from London. But I'm glad to have a share of the emotion-packed final hour of 109th U.S.Open.

Lucas Glover had survived challenges from
Phil Mickelson, David Duval , Tiger Woods and others and captured the 109th U.S. Open championship. As a non superstar status, he became the“People’s” Open as this championship was played at a public course, Bethpage State Park, Farmingdale, New York.

At 29-years-old having only one PGA Tour win to his name, Glover had overcame rain-delayed final round with a 3-over 73 for a two-shot victory.

Phil Mickelson's eagle at the 554-yard, par-5 13th got him a share of the lead at 4 under. However, a three-putt bogey at the 15th and then a bogey at the par-3 17th proved his position to be second to Glover.

Duval, who began the week ranked No. 882 in the world and had missed the cut in eight of 13 starts this season, had played an incredible golf and earned tie for second at 2-under 278. Though he didn't win, now, Duval dramatically returns to prominence.

When Tiger Woods left Bethpage Black in 2002, it was with the silver U.S. Open trophy, his sixth major championship win overall. However, he left the 109th U. S. Open trophy-less. He only managed to score an even-par 280 total and a tie for sixth with Soren Hansen, four shots behind Glover.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

wishing to all fathers A BELATED HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.

Just arrived from London this morning by Gulf Air via Bahrain. Since we left Croydon to Heathrow Airport very early yesterday morning, I was unable to post this greetings much earlier.

Our three weeks vacation to London, Athens, Monaco including Monte Carlo, Cork Ireland was indeed marvellous. Besides spending splendid time with Along, Abang Long, Qistyna and Izad, and attending Izad's graduation, we had the opportunity to visit Hampton Palace, Kensington Palace, Westfield Shopping Mall which are in London. Description of Hampton Palace and Izad's graduation have been posted earlier.

So to all fathers, may yesterday had been filled with joy and happiness. Glad that our contributions as father has been recognized.

I was also glad that our father's day celebration was done a day in advance, as requested by Along, since 21th June was our travelling day. We were brought by Along and Abang Long to a halal chinese restaurant in Norbury for a dinner. The best 25 courses ever!

Greeting cards and presents giving were next on the agenda. I got very beautiful cards, a nice shirt, a DVD on 'Greatest Moments of the U.S.Open', and a book entitled 'in search of Tiger' by Tom Callahan.

Thanks Along, Abang Long and Abang (Izad) for everything. Your generosity is very much admired and appreciated.
